The Brainerd Lakes Curling Club is kicking off another new season with a Community Open House, where guests can try their hand at this unique and fun sport.
During the three-hour open house, set for 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25th, the community has a chance to learn more about the club and the game itself. It’s a free event that’s open to the public. Club members will be on hand to answer questions and provide a short on-ice mini-lesson for those who want to try their hand at curling. Those who go on the ice must be at least 6 years old and should bring a pair of clean athletic shoes. Guests also should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes as on-ice temperatures are 45 degrees.
The club is located in the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds. For more information, email us at brainerdlakescurling@gmail.com.
