Costs: 1. Junior Curler program = $50 for Fall / $50 for Spring 2. BLCA Club Membership fee=$70 for annual youth membership (covers entire 2024-2025 season)
Beginning date: Saturday 10/19/24 10am, JV curler assessment: at the BLCA Club. Senior curlers will be present to assess the JV curler. First practice (get those first few rocky slides out the way). Parent meeting to follow. There will be a follow-up assessment in December to check progress.
JV youth Curling instruction will start on Monday 10/21/24 at 3:30pm with league game to follow. Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays 3:30-5pm with instruction and drills. We have two instructors this year, the instructors will demonstrate the drill and then the JV curler will independently practice the drill.
Monday 5:30-7:30pm games during league night with either Andrea Agre or Thomas Zimmermann as lead thrower, the JV curler will alternate positions each week they curl. The juniors will take turns every week to play.
Saturday open ice: Time TBD but will be dedicated junior curler member time
Bonspiels: See separate sheet for list of bonspiels that are in our area. If need help connecting with a team, please let me know and I can get the JV curler connected with the Host site for a team. Fundraising opportunity during the Fran Holden BLCA club bonspiel in March 2025
