Join us for FREE Community Open House on Oct. 26th from 6-9pm. This is your chance to check out what all this curling stuff is all about. We’ll have an army of volunteers on hand to answer questions and to help you give it a try. We have curling instructs on the ice to give short tutorials on how the game is played and how to slide the rock down the ice. We just ask you to wear CLEAN athletic shoes and comfortable clothes. Hope to see you then!

Saturdays are for Open Curling

Whether you’re a member of the Brainerd Lakes Curling Club or just someone who has always been curious about curling, we have open ice time most Saturdays. Check out our Calendar for dates and times.

The 6-9 p.m. Open Curling sessions are for the public to come in and give curling a try. We have volunteers standing by to answer questions and give short informal on-ice mini lessons. You can walk away with some of the game’s fundamentals and, hopefully, a genuine interest in it. If you’d like more formal instruction, we have a four-week Learn to Curl! program on Friday nights.

The cost for Open Curling is $10 per person or $20 per family. No equipment is necessary, just show up  with comfortable clothing and a separate pair of CLEAN athletic shoes to change into when you arrive. The temp is about 45 degrees on the ice.

The 3-6 p.m. Open Curling sessions are for club members only. They can work on their skills or play pickup games with others. There’s no charge.
