Saturdays are for Open Curling

Whether you’re a member of the Brainerd Lakes Curling Club or just someone who has always been curious about curling, we have open ice time most Saturdays. Check out our Calendar for dates and times.

The 6-9 p.m. Open Curling sessions are for the public to come in and give curling a try. We have volunteers standing by to answer questions and give short informal on-ice mini lessons. You can walk away with some of the game’s fundamentals and, hopefully, a genuine interest in it. If you’d like more formal instruction, we have a four-week Learn to Curl! program on Friday nights through November.

The cost for Open Curling is $10 per person or $20 per family. No equipment is necessary, just show up with clean athletic shoes and comfortable clothing. The temp is 45 degrees on the ice.

The 3-6 p.m. Open Curling sessions are for club members only. They can work on their skills or play pickup games with others. There’s no charge.
